Ballet Pointe class 2010/03/26 Beginning Ballet Pointe (taught in Japanese & English) Taught by Ritsuko Sato Tuesdays from 12:15-1:45 pm starting March 30 (no class April 6) Single classes $15, students/seniors $13 CRS 123 4th AVE,2ndFL (between 12th &13th street) 212-677-8621 http://www.crsny.org/ This pointe class is structured to build a strong foundation of the technique for beginner students as well as to refresh the basics for professionals. The class will start with floor barre and stretching exercises to develop the extensions and core strength needed for pointe work followed by a Ballet Barre. Pointe work is a continous symbol of beauty! To develop this comes from the inside out. Emphasis on correct technique, proper body alignment and coordination will be stressed in order to avoid injuries and build strong technique, which in time will further enable the beauty of freedom and expression through dance.

Come enhance your individuality and expression through the Tango! Hola Como Estas, shall we Dance? This basic class introduces a wide range of fundamental Body Language Communication skills, including: The fundamental concepts of the Tango: walking with a partner, correct posture, rhythm, embrace (dance hold) and the principles of leading and following. The class starts off with a simple warm up leading into basic Tango Footwork which focuses on each persons posture, balance and partnering. Finally, Showtime! Ritsuko will teach Tango steps infused with a touch of contemporary dance movements in order for you to memorize, interpret and create your own.
